Before you dive in, here’s what you might want to know about him: Siyuan is an applied microeconomist and environmental engineer by training, and, in descending order of competence, an amateur sharpshooter (25-yard with CZ Shadow 2), rookie Chicago Price Theorist (Kevin Murphy is the GOAT!), all-you-can-hit baseball pitcher, somewhat-responsible lemon-sour enjoyer, irresponsible watch collector, and pathological Warhammer 40K miniature hoarder (The Emperor protects!).
Currently, he is a Visiting Ph.D. Candidate in the Kenneth C. Griffin Department of Economics at the University of Chicago under Prof. John List. In June 2027, he will join the Graduate School of Economics and Management at Tohoku University as an Assistant Professor.
